What is Sourdough?

Sourdough bread is not just a food; it’s an experience. With its tangy flavor and chewy texture, it’s a result of a slow fermentation process that uses wild yeast. This gives it a slightly sour taste and a hearty texture, making it ideal for everything from hearty sandwiches to simple toast with jam.

Sourdough is a gut-friendly choice because of its natural fermentation. This process breaks down gluten and other compounds, making it easier to digest and gentle on your stomach. Plus, the beneficial bacteria can promote a healthy gut flora.

Six ingredients are the base of our classic sourdough products. Simplicity is key at Carbo Cultivations so each loaf of sourdough is made of these same nourishing ingredients. From this base, other flavors and inclusions may be added for fun, but you can rest assured knowing that each loaf is hand crafted with care.

Vegan products are available upon request, please note that there is a substitution of agave nectar for honey in vegan products.
